In chapters 5-8, Mrs. Frisby finds out from the shrew that she has about five days until the plow will come through the garden. Then she remembered what Jeremy had said. He said that in return for saving him he would do anything. So she called on him, and asked him what to do. He said that she should go and see the owl. So the next morning she met him in front of her house and then they were of to the see the owl. When they got there Mrs. Frisby was asked to step in. The owl was not very helpful at first. All that he said was that he couldn't help her. Then he asked for her name, so she told him and the whole subject changed. He told her to go to the rats and ask for Justin and say that the house should be moved to the lee of the stone.
